ECA ACQUIRES IT MASTERS TO DELIVER HIGH-VALUE EDUCATION TO DOMESTIC STUDENTS IN AUSTRALIA

Sydney, 23 April: ECA is excited to announce the acquisition of IT Masters, an industry-based education company that partners with Charles Sturt University (CSU) to develop a unique series of online Master degree qualifications that are accessible, affordable, accredited and relevant for students and professionals seeking careers in IT in Australia.

This strategic acquisition of IT Masters provides ECA the opportunity to offer quality education to domestic students and make an inroad into the online learning space in particular. ECA has predominantly focused on the international student market in the past, having supported over 7000 students in their higher education and career aspirations.

IT Masters has been in a partnership with Charles Sturt University for over 17 years, specialising in remote and online delivery of Master of IT courses. This partnership has established CSU as a market leader in postgraduate IT courses in Australia.

IT Masters covers student acquisition largely by offering free short courses online, a certain proportion of this student cohort then converts to full fee-paying master students. The company’s online Master degrees are fully accredited under the Australian Government Qualifications Framework and offer students unique opportunities to explore career paths in the Information and Communication Technology industry, which remains one of the most employable sectors with Australia and around the globe.

“Our aim is to expand our offerings and continue to make a difference for the domestic student base as well,” states Gavin Dowling, Chief Operating Officer at ECA. “The ECA management and CSU management are very excited by this partnership to further develop the offering and look forward to enhancing student experience in every way.”

ECA is doing more in this time of crisis to offer students and professionals a way to transition to the workforce or upskill with online learning. To that end, ECA has recently developed its online learning platform ECA Online (EOL) offering a range of diploma certificate and graduate certificate programs at ECA. The company has also established a student support fund in response to the COVID-19 situation to assist students with various scholarships off tuition fees and flexible payment options across its colleges and partner universities.
