University of Tasmania Announces International Study Centre in Melbourne CBD for 2023

University of Tasmania to open international study centre in Melbourne CBD

The University of Tasmania will open a specialist international study centre in the centre of Melbourne.

The centre will be the first of its kind for the University and will enable it to tap into the high volume of international students who prefer to study in large metropolitan centres – reflecting a range of factors such as migrant diasporas, business, tourism and travel links.

The centre will offer its first courses in Semester 2 2023, with learning in on-campus mode and students taught through face-to-face workshops. Students will also have access to work-integrated learning opportunities in a similar manner to on-campus students at other locations.

The Melbourne centre will extend the University’s national footprint and diversify the source countries for international enrolments.  It builds on the earlier establishment of the Rozelle campus in NSW, which caters for domestic students in health sciences. It will also help to support the University’s relationships with new industry partners to facilitate learning, internship, and employment opportunities for our students.

It will be operated by the international education services provider ECA (Education Centre of Australia), which has 15 years of experience in delivering courses for international students and a global presence across seven international regions.  Materials provision and moderation will be carried out by University of Tasmania unit coordinators.
